The Stearman is running strong and we're making the most of the good weather.
Call or email to schedule a ride today.
Video flight footage is now being offered for any passenger who would like to keep a remembrance of their flight to take home to enjoy and share with others.
We will film you during your flight and capture your facial expressions during takeoff, landing and various manuevers during the flight. These will then be edited into a short movie and combined with stock footage of the Stearman.
Cost is an additional $30.00 and should be specified when you book your flight.
I displayed N5000V at the MTJ air fair on Sept 18-19, 2009 and they had a very nice turnout. Many vintage aircraft were on display and in the air during the event including the Stearman, a North American B-25, a North American P-51D, the CAF Grumman TBM Avenger and 2 North American AT-6 Texans.
The new on-board video system was also put to the test and the footage turned out great. Look for a compilation video to be added to the "Media" section shortly.
I installed an on-board camera system in the Stearman now to take video of passemgers while they are enjoying the open cockpit experience.
These videos can be downloaded and edited and put on a flash drive or DVD in .avi format to remember your flight, and to share with others your experience.
Great times at the Garfield County Air Fair in Rifle, CO this weekend. Next, it's on to the Antique Airplane Association Fly-In in Blakesburg, IA in 3 weeks. So, if you want to go flying this year please call and schedule ASAP.

Hi Randy! Hope this logbook helps me on my mission to tell everyone what a GREAT flight you and the Stearman provided on Saturday June 27, 2009. Everyone I told about going shook their heads and mumbled something about a Bucket List - not that I have one but a flight with you is one thing everyone should do before they die. As I said to my sister directly after the flight - "You've GOT to do this!!" and I'll be telling everyone that will listen the same. Not only did I learn a ton about the aircraft and the era but I also saw my own back yard (literally) in a way I've never seen as well as the National Monument as well as all the lakes and rivers. We live in such a spectacular place and you've provided yet one more way to experience its beaty in a thrilling way - thanks and good luck!

Randy, just wanted to say Thank You to you and the Stearman! ... for providing what was an awesome, noisy, fun, exciting Sunday morning ride (being a Harley owner, I like noise and trailing smoke! :-) I, my husband, my grown son, and my then 83-year-old Dad had all ridden with you in the Stearman in the past ... but a flight in the "new model" is really cool ... she's a beauty to behold in the morning sun! The flight over Fruita and the western portion of the Grand Valley, the Colorado River, the Colorado National Monument, and the Redlands was not only spectacular and beautiful, but exciting and so much fun! You are really good at "reading" what a person would most enjoy ... and the flight made me feel that this was certainly my idea of a perfect morning! Taking off and landing at the Mack airport only adds to the authentic character of the experience, keeping in mind the history of such a beautiful vintage aircraft. Thank you again ... We'll be back! (...What are you doing next Sunday morning? :-).

Hi Randy,
Just wanted to tell you that the flight you gave me on 5/16/09 was the best birthday present ever!! My husband Jim scored major points and don't know how he'll be able to top it!! Another ride next year? I have so enjoyed telling all my friends how much fun it was and how wonderful of a pilot you are. The plane is just beautiful! Thanks so much!!

Randy,
I thought I would drop you a line. Haven't heard from you for a while. Guess you haven't been able to to fly the bugs off because of the weather. By the way caught a shark the other day fishing. High 70s approaching 80 degrees nice but should be cooler this time of the year. If you see the gang at the Rock say high for me.
Check your six!
Rick

Greg:: Tue Mar 14th, 2006
Looks Great! Just one question. How come in just about all of the pictures I saw of the restoration, I see your dad with his head in the guts of the airplane, and you just seem to be holding some tools and smiling pretty?
Aunt Donna:: Sun Mar 12th, 2006
Great Wed site -- love the pictures. When are you coming to see me????? Do you make "deals" for "old" aunts???
Love ya, Aunt Donna
Jerry Hunsinger:: Sat Mar 11th, 2006
Gads, what a project, Randy. It looks like you and your Dad are making progress. Back in the '40's I sat on one side of the wing and pushed the needle back through to my Dad. He paid me .50 cents per day.

Carol Acuff:: Sat Mar 11th, 2006
Randy, I LOVE the new web site!...Not only is it great to get an update on the progress of the beautiful "bird" :-) ...but the T-shirts you offer are unique and fun! Will be ordering one for Jack, and for my Dad. The site is so complete, professional, and comprehensive...and as always, the photos of us all are something we can't RESIST looking at, time after time :-). Have forwarded your message on to Jack & Colm, and to Jim Dunn and Jim Hess. CONGRATS! ...It's great!

Cool site! I really like the look and feel of it.
Except for some minor spelling and grammatical glitches, it looks perfect.
See you soon I hope. I need one of your "Turning money into Fuel and Fuel into noise" tshirts. I never order online. Do you keep a supply at the hanger? I could pick one up next time I'm over there.
